Food Animal Quality Assurance (FAQA) Program

The Ohio Youth Food Animal Quality Assurance Program was introduced in December of 2005. This program has met the minimum standards of the National Pork Board Youth Pork Quality Assurance Program. Any youth certified under this program will have completed YPQA. This program also meet the requirements set forth by Ohio Department of Agriculture.

A curriculum guide was developed for educators to conduct the program. Educators must attend a certification conducted by the OSU Dept. of Animal Sciences, once every three years.
