Background
The University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (India) and The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences of Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio) initiate a scientific and cultural exchange program to promote cooperation. The program includes the following cooperative activities:
Exchange of professors, staff, students, teaching materials, and scientific and technological literature about agricultural production, agribusiness, natural resource conservation and management, and environmental sciences.
Collaboration in research, and educational and technical assistance with a focus on agricultural production, plant biotechnology, natural resource conservation and management, water management, value-added post-harvest technologies, and other areas deemed to be of common and beneficial interest for both parties.
Collaboration that incorporates project components with farmer groups, private industry, state and local agencies, etc.
Joint programs with other universities in other regions of the world; and
Joint participation, and collaboration, in short courses, workshops, conferences, symposia, and other training and/or professional activities for faculty, staff and students from both institutions.
