What
Amanda Has to Say
Why
OSU? Opportunity, Success,
Unity The University is full of opportunities
in every area of interest that makes us successful, and builds
a community of support and unity.
Getting involved:
Start early and small. The first year involvement
can be overwhelming but just following a single organization
will open so many opportunities. Just being present
will quickly develop into leadership.
Freshman
Advice: Seriously consider living in Norton House
for your first year on campus. It is a great community and
you can take advantage of the classes you share with other
residents, shared interests, and lots of connections to other
people in the College. Not too mention planned and inexpensive
activities, faculty interactions, and new best friends!
Academics:
I could not imagine classes any better than those I have had
at Ohio State. They are as intense and diverse as you can
get, with everything from in-depth introduction courses with
hands-on labs to classes that apply the ideas to real-world
problems, and even actual experiences studying abroad! What's
better than that? Professors are really interested in teaching
students and helping them learn, beyond the classroom and
into a career. A little bit of effort goes a long way.
