Size
of OSU: Now that I’m here, I honestly can’t imagine
being at a smaller university. The opportunities are endless!
When I was first accepted, I couldn’t believe how many people
said, “But it’s so big!” like that was a bad thing! The classes
really are quite small. OSU is like a big puzzle…the whole
picture might be big but most of the time you’re on a pretty
small piece!
Quality
of Academics: At Ohio State you combine top-notch
professors with the versatility to create a program just for
you. It’s an awesome environment to learn what you choose
to learn about!
Advice
for freshmen: Go to as many student organization
meetings your first quarter as you can. You can’t beat the
free food, plus you give yourself the opportunity to pick
and choose which clubs you really want to get involved in.
It’s nice to test drive a few and then find your place.
Why
OSU: There’s a certain pride that every Buckeye has
that can’t be understood until you actually become one. The
academics, tradition, student life, and just plain fun make
being a Buckeye an unbelievable and unforgettable experience.
Getting
involved: Student organizations give you the chance
to develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills
that can’t be learned in the classroom. Employers will also
want to see that you did more than go to class and watch American
Idol! But the best part is getting to know people from all
walks of life and gaining priceless friendships.
