Rachel HowdyshellRachel Howdyshell is an Animal Sciences major from New Lexington, OH.  Rachel has made the most of her experience at OSU through her involvement in Saddle and Sirloin, Alpha Zeta Partners, Alpha Sigma Upsilon, and through her employment at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine.  Rachel has also interned with OSU Extension through the Department of Animal Sciences.

What Rachel Has to Say

Size of OSU:  "Ohio State is only as big as you make it.  If you want it to feel like 50,000 people it definitely can, but it can also feel like high school too."

Quality of Academics:  "The academics here are great!  Student-faculty relations are amazing.  They are always there when you need them."

Advice for freshmen:  "Don't be intimidated!  Get out there and get involved.  Organizations love new faces and new ideas."

Why OSU?  "As far as I was always concerned, Ohio State is the only school in the state.  I always knew I would be a Buckeye."
