Resources: Extension Program Resources-Community Development 1996 I. Title of Program or Issue: Relates to following Strategic Plan Product(s) Sustaining Action on Community and Organizational Issues A. Situational Statement: Communities and organizations frequently feel "stuck" in a rut and are unable to generate the energy needed to attain their mission. B. Description/Educational Objectives: Community residents or organization members assess the capacity and strengths/weakness of their current situation with a 60 item survey. They utilize the information from the survey to analyze the areas of "human action" from Dr. R. Terry's model to develop plans that gets them back "on track". A good program for groups who are having trouble implementing a strategic plan. C. Suggested Time Required for Program: 3 - 6 months total. Suggested Time of Year: Any time of the year. D. Audience and Level of Offering: Organization or Community E. Teaching Methods, Resources, Costs: Survey administered by organization/community. Two community/organization meetings to analyze data. Cost: Reproduction of survey and dissemination and publication of results. F.
