Many computing needs can be met with standard computing tools, such as a word processor, web editors, databases, or spreadsheets. When requirements exceed the capacity or limitations of these tools, specific application software can be developed by C&T programmers in conjunction with the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
These projects typically require a significant effort from both C&T and subject-matter personnel. Requests for software development should be made to the unit coordinator after having been approved by the appropriate Assistant Director. The unit coordinator will determine priority, timetable and programmer assignment.
Software developed by C&T programmers is copyrighted by OSU Extension and should not be considered the property of the subject-matter personnel.
