1999 Ohio Regional Agronomy Meetings

Regional Agronomy Meetings Provide Farmers and Agriculture Industry with Important Crop Updates

If you make decisions on Ohio's Corn, Soybean and Wheat farms make plans to attend the series of Regional Agronomy Meetings held during December 8-10, 1999 and January 17-19, 2000.   The meetings are hosted by Ohio State University Extension, Ohio's Agri-businesses, The Ohio Soybean Council and Ohio Corn Growers.

The fast paced program will update farmers and agri-industry on current topics of interest. The microscope will be on global climate, grain contracting, politics of GMO's, herbicide resistance to ALS herbicides, post emergence applications, maximizing fertilizer dollars, maximizing soybean inputs, soybean cyst nematode management, phytophthora management, corn insect control strategies, and establishing management zones.

Registration On-Line Registration Form

Pre-registration costs are $15 if registration if received 7 days prior to the meeting date. At door registration is $20 space permitting. Send check payable to Ohio State University Extension to the appropriate location one week prior to meeting date to pre-register. Each meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and adjourn at 3:00 p.m. Registration includes lunch, program proceedings, 1999 Corn & Soybean Trials (if available), and other Extension Publications. Exhibitors will be at all sites.

CCA / PAT Credits

CCA credits and Pesticide re-certification credits for commercial and private pesticide applicators will be given. CCA credits have been requested for Soil Fertility, Integrated Pest Management, and Crop Production. Each site may vary somewhat on CCA credits offered. PAT credits that will tentatively be offered include Commercial Core 1, 2a, and 2c.
