Offering Social Work Continuing Education Units
The Ohio State University, The College of Social Work, reviews and certifies educational programs to carry State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board Continuing Education Units. Social workers seek CEU's for programs relevant to their work with children and families in many settings. Many are also in management and leadership roles and are interested in professional growth opportunities.

You should plan to submit materials for review well ahead of the program (a minimum of 6 weeks) to enable marketing materials to indicate approval of CEU's.
The application process includes the submission of a form including:
- Title of Program
- Length of program including starting and ending time
- Program level: beginning, intermediate or advanced
- Target audience
- Description (limited to 100 words)
- Behavioral objectives for participants
- Brief description of program content related to objectives
- Instructional methods
- Audio-visual needs
- Room set up
- Handouts - estimate number of pages
- Attach an agenda for the program
- Evaluation instrument to be used
- Presenter information with a bio limited to 100 words
