3. Background: (Approximately 1000 words. First paragraph introduce the topic. Each remaining paragraph addresses a specific area of interest. A range of three to five areas can be addressed.)

4. Areas of Interest (Addressed in the project narrative. Each represents a particular subset of activities for the member to complete. Word them so they complete the sentence, "My first Area of Interest is to...")

5. Things to Do (Simply stated activities that provide meaningful examples for members. Consider activities that bring members together with adults, develop skills, and increase knowledge. Create a range of three to five activities per area. Use action words to begin each sentence like plan, complete, build, produce, purchase, sell, interview, etc. Avoid the use of possessive pronouns.)

6. Related Web Pages (Identify web pages that provide additional information related to the topic, expert advice, and suitable links to other pages.

Authors are expected to update their Idea Starter every five years. Web addresses must be updated every two years. Forms not revised after five years will be subject to removal. All submitted Idea Starters become the immediate property of OSU Extension and are subject to review and editing. Use our web-based Idea Starter submission form for all updates and new submissions. Project Idea Starter submissions will receive immediate confirmation of receipt. Authors will be notified within three months whether or not their Idea Starter has been accepted. All Idea Starters submitted become the property of OSU Extension and are subject to editing, modification and immediate publication. Authors will not receive a proof copy prior to publication.
