THE INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD

Human Subjects as a Source for Data

IF you are planning to conduct an evaluation or study:
- Involving
people
- And
you plan to present or publish the finding
THEN you should submit your proposal for an IRB exemption.
- In
some instances (example: a study involving youth) a full IRB review may be
required.
So, what
is IRB?
- IRB
is the Institutional Review Board
- OSU
and all institutions receiving government support of research must have a
board in place to protect the rights and well being of participants in certain
research/evaluation activities.
