Program Information

Rockets Away is an educational program designed to teach students about the science of rocketry through the use of printed materials, computer technology and hands-on experiments. The knowledge and concepts aquired through this program are further reinforced through application by actually designing, building and launching a real 2-liter bottle rocket. The program is more advanced than traditional text book learning situations, as the student is engaged in the learning process. The program is comprised of the following:
