How to Use the STREAMS Website

This page is designed to inform you of the basic architecture of the STREAMS website and help you navigate through the site to find information in an easy and efficient manner.

The primary navigation buttons are located in a vertical list at the very top of each page as well as in a horizontal list at the very bottom of each page. These buttons let the user know the main categories of information found within the STREAMS website. Click here for a brief outline (Site Map) of what you can expect to find on STREAMS website.

**If you do not see a category you are looking for, you may try to Search the site or simply click on the Where Can I Find... button at the top right hand corner of each page and scroll down to the specific topic you are looking for. Contact Us or Ask the Experts if there is a topic or information that should be added to the site.

Once you have chosen the category of interest from the primary navigation buttons (i.e., Environmental Hydrology), you will go directly to the main page for that category. Within each subject, you will find a list of links to help you further navigate within that specific category. These links are listed horizontally at the top of each page just above the page title. This list will take you to sites within the category you have chosen only (i.e., Conferences). In order to change categories (i.e. go from Conferences to Stream & Ditch Projects) you can click on the primary navigation buttons on the top or bottom of the pages or use the back button on your browser.

If a page contains links to information outside of the STREAMS website it will be indicated in the green box on the upper right hand side of the page. To return to the STREAMS website, simply close the new window.
