Job
Description
I. Qualifications
- Must be 18 years
of age or older.
- Must be in good
physical condition.
- Should have some
experience in working and/or play interaction with younger boys and
girls
- Should have the
ability to control younger boys and girls without physical contact or
force.
II. Responsibilities
- Is directly
responsible to Camp Whitewood Camp Executive Director through and camp
Program Director.
- Assist in
planning and conducting camping programs that have been developed by
the camp and staff, with the age appropriate campers that you are
responsible.
- Be a friend with
the campers.
- Keep the
children you are responsible for under constant supervision:
- Apply the rules
of Camp Whitewood and where disciplinary action is required, report to
the program director following the "organizational structure".
- Shall be
responsible for the care, upkeep, and storage of all camp equipment.
- Shall be at the
program site at 7:30 a.m. each day, and not leave until 4:30 p.m. each
day.
- These statements
on duties are not to be taken as the final and only work to be done by
staff members. Frequently it is necessary for individual staff members
to cooperate on a project,
which is important for the continued smooth operation of the camp. Such
duties will be under the direction of the Camp Executive Director.
III. All Staff and
Directors
- Set an example
by conducting themselves in a proper manner.
- Observe a habit
of cleanliness of self and quarters.
- There shall be
no alcoholic beverages on Camp Whitewood grounds at anytime.
- Staff Certified
in C.P. R. may have to administer resuscitation by means of a
mechanical airway.
- Complete a
written evaluation
and final inventory at the end of camping season.
