Dr. Turner’s primary research interest is beef cow performance, including milk production, preweaning calf performance, age at weaning, matching feed resources to calving, and weaning management. He coaches the Intercollegiate Livestock Selection and Evaluation Team. Extension responsibilities include programs in beef cattle genetic improvement and in livestock selection and evaluation.
