Dr. Fluharty is also the coordinator of the Ohio Beef Industry Center in The Department of Animal Sciences at The Ohio State University: The Ohio Beef Industry Center's goal is to provide a visible multi-disciplinary nucleus for research and education through a feedback driven system of knowledge transfer. The Ohio Beef Industry Center focuses on assisting family farms in developing economically sustainable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound production methodology. He lectures internationally on beef production management for specific consumer markets.
