Background: The Management Development Training Program has
been conducted annually for several years. The program was
primarily designed for new County Extension Directors and
staff who aspire to work as County Extension Director or who
are currently in or interested in a management position.
This six-day program, with three sessions of two-days each,
was designed to provide fundamental training in areas of
human resources management. leadership and motivation,
interpersonal communication, team building, performance
appraisal, counseling, coaching, employee relations,
progressive discipline, staffing and budget management.
