Study Abroad
Welcome to the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental
Sciences' Study Abroad Program! Next to a good education,
the best investment a student can make in his/her future is
an international experience. It provides an education that one
cannot get in a classroom or from a textbook. Studying abroad
increases knowledge and understanding of different cultures
and of oneself. It is an invaluable aid in today's global market.
Plan now to add a study abroad experience to your academic portfolio.
While abroad, students complete three courses for fifteen hours
of credit. The credit earned through a study abroad program
can provide most of the needed credits for an International
Studies minor, can meet General Education Requirements, or be
an excellent use of your free electives.
The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences
currently sponsors opportunities for you to study in 12 countries on 4 different continents: Uganda, Dominican
Republic, Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, China, England, Czech
Republic, South Africa and Russia, Iceland and Ireland. Possible future programs include a return trip to the Netherlands for Dairy Science, Mexico for Construction Systems Management, Chile for Horticulture, Europe for an Animal Sciences Cluster and southern Africa for a general summer program.
