2006-2007 CFAES
Ambassador Team

The
Ambassadors at their summer retreat in New Lexington, OH
Congratulations to: Elizabeth Homerosky, Tim Lamb, Renee Starkey, Rose Dudgeon, Josh Yoder, Katelin McKnight- our newest Ambassadors!
Who
are the CFAES Ambassadors and what do they do?
The CFAES Ambassadors are a team of students that represent
the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences
for recruitment and industry relations purposes. The team
size ranges from 15 to 20 current students that have been
selected through an application and interview process each
spring quarter. Ambassadors are trained to provide tours of
the CFAES campus and they enhance recruitment initiatives
with the "student touch". Two new goals of the CFAES
Ambassador Team is to help the general University student
body become more aware of CFAES and to be more involved in
industry relations on behalf of CFAES students.
The time
committment required of CFAES Ambassadors is as follows:
1 hour
every other week for meetings
2 Saturdays
per academic year (College arranged open houses)
1 hour
on 1 Friday afternoon per quarter to give CFAES tour
Flexible
and volunteered time as needed to complete projects or initiatives
1 yearly
weekend retreat for training and team building
The
team has developed a point system to determine if an ambassador
has been involved enough to maintain their status as a CFAES
Ambassador. Points are reviewed on a quarterly basis.
Questions, suggestions, and general comments can be directed
to Kelly Koren at koren.10@osu.edu.
