"One on one attention from my advisor and faculty that treated me like
a student and not like "a number" are two things that I wasn't expecting
when I enrolled with the College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences.
They help make your transition from high school to college easier!"

Graduate programs at The Ohio State
University are administered through the Graduate
School.
Unlike many universities, the application process at Ohio
State is a "decentralized" and centralized,
in which students apply through the Admissions
Office, and through their specific program, NOT through
the Graduate school.
Generally, students send all of their application materials
to the Graduate Admissions Office, which then forwards the
completed application to the specific program. All questions
concerning general admissions procedures should be directed
to the Office
of Admissions. For specific program requirements, contact
the department in which you wish to conduct your graduate
studies. It is recommended that you contact the department
in which you are interested in studying prior to them receiving
all of your materials from the Office of Admissions. Because
the application process is somewhat lengthy, this allows the
department to offer you information about their programs and
plan in advance for assistantships.
Applicants for admission to any graduate program must fulfill
the admission criteria established by both the Graduate School
and the Graduate Studies Committee of the particular academic
unit to which admission is sought. General inquiries and requests
for application materials should be addressed to the Admissions
Office. Inquiries concerning admission criteria of a particular
academic unit should be addressed to the Graduate Studies
Committee Chairperson.
