Ph.D. Advising Guide: Suggested Minors for Graduate Students

The Graduate Program Handbook notes that at least two areas should be pursued in addition to the major in agricultural education. This document has already indicated that Research and Statistics are a part of the Ph.D. core. The selection of minor areas is congruently agreed to by the student and committee (especially the adviser). To help guide doctoral students in preparing for appropriate career opportunities, a suggested list of minors by program areas is included. These areas are by no means the only minors that a student could have. These areas have been common courses that Ph.D. students with these minors have taken. Usually, 15-18 hours constitute a minor program but the number of hours varies.
