Master's Advising Guide: Approval Checklist

Master of Science Degree

  • Student Name
  • Program plan submitted to Graduate Studies and Research Committee. (date)
  • Program reviewed and returned to adviser. (date)
  • Minimum of 45 credit hours to include:
    • 20 credit hours of agricultural education.
    • 9 credit hours in specialization
    • No more than 12 hours of AGR EDUC 889 and/or 993.
    • No more than 21 total hours of independent study.
  • Program ensures the candidate will understand:
    • Foundations
      • AGR EDUC 800
    • Departmental Core (Take three of the following four courses)
      • AGR EDUC 811
      • AGR EDUC 823
      • AGR EDUC 831
      • AGR EDUC 840
    • Research/Inquiry
      • AGR EDUC 885
    • Seminar
      • AGR EDUC 795.01 or 693 (Graduate Study in Agricultural Education)
  • Plans for meeting conditions of acceptance.
  • Internship (if needed).
  • Two quarters of residency (Enrolled in at least one course each quarter on the OSU main campus).
  • Program completed within a six year period.
  • Final program submitted to Graduate Studies and Research Committee prior to beginning of final quarter of enrollment
  • Final program approved/disapproved by Graduate Studies and Research Committee. (date)
