Overview Graduates with a degree in agricultural communication are well prepared for a wide variety of exciting careers in agriculture, science, and business. They pursue careers with agricultural magazines and other publications, advertising and public relations agencies, farm radio and television stations, agricultural commodity groups, and government agencies. Many graduates also are employed by community newspapers and radio and television news operations where their agricultural communication background helps them organize and disseminate scientific and technical information to farm and nonfarm audiences. Ohio State’s Agricultural Communication Program adheres to a national mission and vision that guides our curriculum. The program provides a solid foundation in communication skills and allows students to publish their work in a variety of media. For instance, the AgriNaturalist magazine is written, designed and produced by students in the program. Students also gain valuable experience at Ohio State’s campus newspaper, The Lantern.
