Lynn Knipe

Lynn Knipe, a native of Ohio, received his B.S. degree in Agriculture from The Ohio State University in 1978 and Ph.D. in Meat Science from Iowa State University in 1982. Following graduate school, he worked in Research and Development at Hillshire Farm Company in New London, Wisconsin. From there, he took a position with the Meat Export Research Center at Iowa State University, where he focused his efforts on helping U.S. companies target meat products for export markets, such as Japan, Mexico, Chile, etc., by studying market conditions, and conducting export seminars for the U.S. industry. Also as part of his program, he conducted research on methods for improving poor quality pork for further processing and extending the shelf life of fresh pork. In July of 1997, he became Extension Processed Meats Specialist at The Ohio State University.
