Kuhlmann to take reins of CFS/Wolfking North America

by Bill McDowell

Settling a management consolidation question that has lingered since equipment supplier Convenience Food Systems acquired Wolfking Group from BHJ A/S in April, Wolfking President Jan Erik Kuhlmann has been named president of the combined CFS/Wolfking operation in North America.

According to a company announcement from John-Ole Hansen, president and CEO of Bakel, Netherlands-based CFS, Kulhmann will relocate immediately, from the previous Wolfking headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, to the company's new U.S. headquarters in Frisco, Texas.

Ron Merrill, formerly president of CFS North America, will assume the new title of executive vice president, with primary responsibility for CFS's business in Mexico, the company's global medical business and relations with the American Meat Institute and other trade organizations.

According to the memo, a more detailed organization announcement will be announced by the end of November.
