Agricultural Systems for Environmental Quality

The Management Systems Evaluation Area (MSEA) Project was established to evaluate the impact of farming systems on water quality. The project is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and other state and federal agencies. Sites are located in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Findings are being shared with producers so they can respond voluntarily to water quality requirements while maintaining or increasing crop productivity and profitability.
