Supercharging Your Business Growth is Focus of 'A Taste of Training' Sept. 23 in Wooster Writer: Frances Whited WOOSTER, Ohio — In today’s business climate, you need every edge you can get. Reducing costs, improving performance, maximizing sales, enhancing employee skills… all of these can go a long way toward improving your company’s bottom line. But just how do you tackle these for your unique situation? You can sample a number of different training and development approaches at “A Taste of Training,” which will be presented by Ohio State ATI’s Business Training & Educational Services and Shisler Conference Center on Wednesday, Sept. 23 in Wooster. Following the keynote address “Chocolate, Elephants & Wrinkle Remover: Secrets to Supercharging your Business Growth” by speaker and consultant Kordell Norton, participants will have the opportunity to attend three sessions on such topics as “How to Trim the Fat from your Business with Lean Six Sigma,” “Status Quo to Status Grow — The Secret Marketing & Sales Tools used by Big Business,” and “Social Networking 101 for Business — What It Is, How to Get Started and How to Get the Most Out of It.” Participants can also attend sessions highlighting how to move a super employee into a supervisor role, e-marketing techniques, team-building, and understanding and working with Hispanic employees. These mini training sessions will be conducted by some of the region’s most experienced trainers and consultants. The day begins with continental breakfast at 7:45 a.m. and will conclude by noon.
