WOOSTER, Ohio — Secrest Arboretum has posted the plant sale list for Saturday’s (Oct. 3) Autumn Discovery Day at http://secrest.osu.edu/. Some 89 kinds of trees and shrubs, many of them rare or hard to find, are on it.

Examples include red buckeye, baldcypress, dawn redwood, common pawpaw, cedar of Lebanon, giant arborvitae and California incensecedar.

Prices start at $12.98, with proceeds benefitting the arboretum.

Now in its seventh year, the free event offers expert landscape advice and self-guided garden tours too.

It goes from 9 a.m.-noon at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC), 1680 Madison Ave., Wooster.

Meet near the arboretum’s Seaman Orientation Plaza on Williams Road, about 1.7 miles from the main campus entrance. Signs will direct you.

Call 330-263-3761 or visit http://secrest.osu.edu/ for more information.

OARDC (http://www.oardc.ohio-state.edu/) is the research arm of Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (http://cfaes.osu.edu/) and is the largest university agbioscience research center in the United States.
