Expand Your Business Ideas or Development at a Free Innovation Forum Source: Joy Bauman, OSU South Centers at Piketon PIKETON, Ohio -- Inventors, entrepreneurs, individuals thinking of starting an innovative business or have an idea for a new technology, as well as companies interested in new product development or economic development are invited to attend the Innovation Forum on Oct. 29 at the Ohio State University South Centers Endeavor Center. The forum is free. It is sponsored by the OSU South Centers Ohio Small Business Development Center and Manufacturing and Technology Small Business Development Center. Additional sponsors include the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Ohio Department of Development Third Frontier program, TechGrowth Ohio, and TechSolve. The program runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. A lunch will also be served. OSU South Centers is located at 1864 Shyville Rd., Piketon, Ohio. The program will include Patrick Phillips, a patent attorney from Kremblas, Foster, Phillips & Pollick. The law firm is one of the states oldest and most respected patent law firms. Phillips will discuss patents and legal issues surrounding new technology and inventions. In addition, participants will learn about opportunities available through the Third Frontier program from Mike McKay, representing the Ohio Department of Development Third Frontier program. While the event is free, participants must register by Oct. 23 to ensure adequate materials and meal reservations.
