MILLERSPORT, Ohio — From soybean aphids to cash forage production to GPS systems, the Tri-County Field Day will offer a wealth of information for commercial grain producers.

The event, sponsored by Ohio State University Extension, the Soil and Water Conservation District and Natural Resources Conservation Service in Fairfield, Perry and Licking counties, will be held Aug. 21 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the David Miller Farm near Millersport, Ohio. The cost of the program is $5, which includes a meal.

The program will feature Farm Journal Magazine field agronomist Ken Ferrie, who will address assessing stand uniformity and yields, as well as present data on fertilizer starter programs in corn production.

Continuing education credits for Certified Crop Advisors will be offered during the program. For more information contact OSU Extension, Licking County at (740) 349-6900 or log on to http://licking.osu.edu.
