Insect Trappings

Funnel Trap

Bark Beetles are being monitored in this funnel trap as part of Dr. David Nielsen's research study.  Trapping locations in Lucas County include the Toledo Botanical Garden and Stranahan Arboretum.

Sticky Trap

Stranahan Arboretum is the site of the clear winged borer traps seen below.  Traps are monitored on a weekly basis, with findings being reported as part of the weekly Buckeye, Yard, and Garden Line (BYGL) Conference Call.  Lesser Peach Borers and Lilac/Ash Borers are both frerquentors to the traps in Lucas County.
