*Variety tested using experimental seed lots.
Maturity rated on 5/11/1999 -- 1 = vegetative, 2 = early boot, 3 = initial emergence of inflorescense,
4 = complete emergence of inflorescense from boot.
Drill seeded with presswheels at 10 lb/a.
Crosby clay loam, pH = 6.6, P = 179, K = 223, CEC = 8.3, O.M. = 2.7 (10/98).
Ammonia nitrate (34-0-0) was applied on 26 April at 150 lb/a, and 2 June at 150 lb/a.
K2O was applied at 200 lb/a on 26 April and 2 June 1999.
