Assistantship available



If you know of any students interested in pursuing a M.S. or Ph.D. 
in floriculture nutrition, please pass along the following 
announcement...

A graduate research assistantship for a M.S. or Ph.D. student is 
available beginning Summer or Fall, 1998, in the area of floriculture 
root media and nutrition.  Research opportunities are available to 
study (1) relationships between nutritional status of floricultural 
crops and the incidence/severity of insect and disease problems; (2) 
alternative mechanisms to provide nutrients in soilless root media; 
(3) cultural production practices for new floricultural crops; or (4) 
use of waste products as alternative components of soilless root 
media.  Stipend is $10,000 and $12,500 per year for M.S. and Ph.D.,
