Albert,
The marigold problem could also be Choanephora flower blight. We mostly see this in
landscape plantings of marigolds in the South - not a major greenhouse problem. Sounds
exactly like what you are describing. Favorable conditions are rainy weather (or
overhead irrigation) with warm nights.
