I need some information on growing freesias. I have foliage, but no
flowers. I tried out a small number of seeds and a small number of
bulbs, and I think I followed the accompanying directions for both. But
the bulbs are busy multiplying and the ones from seed have formed no
bulbs yet. Two questions: I am wondering if they had too high a
temperature in late spring? And if the ones from seed are just not
mature?
Three more questions: How do I treat them now (summer), and in fall,
and in winter, so that they will flower next spring or summer? My idea
was to sell them in bloom or ready to bloom, for customers to plant in
the ground for the warm season. Can they be transplanted?? Or can
freesias in zone 5b/6a only be grown in pots??
Thank you.
