Letter from President, Bob Calala |
Volume 4, Issue 1 |
|
To All,
I want to start out by saying THANK YOU to all of you who supported the annual banquet and workshop. I believe that it was the best one we've had so far. We already have a committee working on this years annual banquet, and a committee working on our next summer workshop. I am sure in upcoming news letters they will be asking for your help in making these events even more successful. Some of you don't know me or that my family has been involved in aquaculture in Ohio for over 40 years. So I speak with some measure of experience when I say, as those of you that were at the banquet heard, "that aquaculture in Ohio is going to change more in the next ten years or less, than it has in the last 50 years." Now that may be good or bad depending on your perspective. |
Change is inevitable and it happens at a much faster rate these days
then ever before. Now you have to ask yourself. What role am I going to
have in shaping how and when these changes take place? And for that
matter what changes take place. Are you going to sit idly by while
others make those decisions for you? Or are you going to get involved,
stand up and be counted and let your voice and opinion be heard!?
You have received this news letter because you are either a current dues paying member, (THANK YOU) or you are a past member that has not paid for 2003, (PLEASE SEND IN YOUR RENEWAL), or you are listed as having something to do with aquaculture and need to become a member so you to can be part of a group that is trying to make a difference, trying to |
