To All,
A lot has happened in the last year with aquaculture in Ohio. We have developed new and strengthened old relationships to the point that we are now ASKED to participate in forums, discussion groups, and on advisory panels. It seems at least once a month there is another positive article on aquaculture in the newspapers, on the TV, in magazine articles, or on the radio. Now when I walk into a room full of people from Ohio Dept of Agriculture, Ohio Division of Wildlife, Ohio Farm Bureau, Ohio Agriculture and Research Center., Ohio State University Extension, or State Legislators they ASK what’s going on with aquaculture, and how can they help. They know my first name without having a nametag on, and they know I represent a growing number of Ohioans who are |
involved in aquaculture. It is such a joy not to have to re-pronounce
aquaculture three times before they know what I am saying. This has been
accomplished through the efforts of many people, and I just wanted to
say THANK YOU.
Now it’s your turn to participate. I am sure you have all ready received the brochure on our workshop on Sept. 13th by now. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the different facets of aquaculture and get a chance to tour our farm. You’ll have time to mingle with folks that are at different levels of involvement in aquaculture. And there should be people from the different agencies that support aquaculture, as I |
