Community Service Opportunity

Highlights

The 4-H Garden Party Community Service Project began in 1994. Since its conception, hundreds of dedicated 4-H members have donated time and flowers to help improve the library’s landscape. This garden project helps the library save approximately $1500 a year. Money saved is used to buy new resource materials for the residents of Tuscarawas County.

Clubs participating in the Garden Party will learn first hand the proper tools and techniques of maintaining a landscape while fulfilling Leadership and Citizenship requirements.

The Tuscarawas County Public Library is so thrilled with 4-H'ers quality of work and dedication, they would like us to return for an 11th year! Please consider this rewarding community service project. Let's keep up the good work in 2005!

Clubs can also help by donating flowers, top soil, and mulch!

  • Volunteers donate 2 hours
  • Learn about garden tools and techniques
  • Fulfill Leadership and Citizenship goals
  • Enjoy yummy homemade refreshments!
