  • Please join me in congratulating Chan Ho on winning the CC Allison award this year! The award goes to an outstanding graduate student in their final year or two of study towards the Ph.D. It is awarded to a student who shows an excellent balance of academic progress (coursework and research) and service to the department and plant pathology community.
  • Congratulations on Nun's Best Poster Award at the 11th PMBB Annual Symposium on April 24-25, 2009.
  • Congratulations on Gautam's OARDC SEEDS grant ($5000) for the genetic mapping of the Spl11 suppressor mutants in rice (May, 2009).

  • Gautam has been selected as a recipient of the Zahir Eyal Student Travel Award for the 2008 APS Annual Meeting in Minneapolis on July 25-30. Congratulations to Gautam on this honor!

  • Migeul has been awarded a travel grant to attend the Plant Biology 2008 Meeting to be held on June 22-25,  Merida, Mexico

  • Dr. Wang has successfully organized the 4th International Rice Blast Conference held on Oct. 9-14, 2007 in Changsha, Hunan, China.

  • Miguel won Excellence in PMBB graduate fellowship for 2007-2008.

  • Miguel won Best Graduate Student Oral Presentation at the 2007 PMBB meeting on March 30.

  • Songbiao's paper is featured on USDA-NRI website as one of the cover stories in 2006 [Link]
